Enter the expanding world of technology! The eCademy of New Technology, Engineering and Robotics (ENTER) is a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment with a focus on how things work. ENTER explores the entire BC grades 6-7 curriculum through themes that include computer systems, digital game design and robotics. Although this environment is especially appealing to students who are passionate about science, all students in grades 6-7 who are curious about technology can enroll regardless of previous experience.
Students in the ENTER program learn at their own pace and create projects that demonstrate their understanding of learning concepts. In addition, students are encouraged to collaborate on projects, which often results in greater creativity and innovation. In this learning environment movement and social interaction is encouraged, in contrast to traditional seated instruction.
The ENTER program has the same format as other Navigate blended learning programs, combining 3 days a week of in class instruction with 2 days of online learning at home. The ENTER classroom is located at Aspen Park Elementary School in Comox, BC.
Noteably, the ENTER program has been globally recognized as a leader in innovative learning and received the iNACOL award for innovation. Students may also have the opportunity to participate in robotic competitions to compete at regional, provincial and international levels.
