You will explore how people, places, societies, governments, technology, and culture influence one another\u2014and how we know whether the information we encounter can be trusted.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the course, you will develop the skills used by historians, geographers, researchers, journalists, and other social scientists. You will learn how to ask meaningful questions, evaluate sources, recognize patterns and connections, consider different perspectives, use evidence, and communicate your ideas.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>What will you study?<\/h3>\n<p>You will begin with <strong>Start Here<\/strong>, where you will learn the skills and expectations you need for the course. Everyone will then complete the <strong>BC First Peoples<\/strong> module.<\/p>\n<p>After that, you will choose <strong>three additional modules<\/strong> based on your interests.
