We have partnered with Rosetta Stone\u2122, makers of the world\u2019s leading language-learning software, to offer online courses in more than 20 languages, including French. Rosetta Stone allows you to learn naturally, not by translating and memorizing, but through Dynamic Immersion &#8211; the same way you learned your first language as a child.\u00a0 Your ability to learn a new language is innate \u2013 these programs simply unlock your potential.<\/p>\n<p>The Rosetta Stone program is split into three different French courses based on the prescribed learning outcomes set by the Ministry of Education. The contents of our French 10, French 11 and French 12 courses are listed below. Please note that upon the successful completion of each of these three courses, students will earn four credits on their graduation program (for a total of twelve credits for students who complete French 10, 11 and 12).<\/p>\n<p>High-speed Internet is required to run Rosetta Stone and students will need a USB headset with a microphone. Students earn four credits upon the successful completion of this course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>French 11<\/strong> = this is the second course; students should already have some knowledge of the language and\/or have already completed our French 10 course; students complete Units 7 &#8211; 12 of Rosetta Stone in this course. Students earn four credits upon the successful completion of this course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>French 12<\/strong>\u00a0= this is the third course; students should have a solid foundation in the language and\/or have completed the grade 11 course with us; students complete Units 13 &#8211; 20\u00a0of Rosetta Stone in this course.\u00a0 Students earn four credits upon the successful completion of this course.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions regarding which course to choose, please contact the Registrar toll-free at 1-800-663-7925.<\/p>\n<p>Although the <strong>Rosetta Stone Foundations Silver program<\/strong> is an excellent computer-based language learning program, it is not a replacement for a live teacher. If you are committed to being able to speak French, we strongly encourage you to consider the <strong>Foundations Gold<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Foundations Gold<\/strong> program will allow you to participate in unlimited, live, on-line coaching sessions with a native speaker.
