About the Comox Valley

Navigate is located in the Comox Valley within the traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation. Named the “Land of Plenty”, the Comox Valley continues to provide an abundance of natural beauty. Few places can offer the views of alpine meadows, forest trails, and beautiful beaches in such a close proximity.

Our Tsolum campus is just minutes north of Courtenay, BC on Vancouver Island, and home to our award winning Fine Arts eCademy program. This campus serves as the hub for our other blended learning programs, administration, and online learning throughout the province of BC.

The City of Courtenay is part of the Comox Valley School District 71, which also serves the communities of Comox and Cumberland. The SD71 catchment area includes Merville/Black Creek, and Saratoga to the north of Courtenay, and as far south as Hornby Island. The Comox Valley is home to 19Wing Comox and is well known for its vibrant fine arts community, Vancouver Island Musicfest, The Filberg Festival, and for the diversity of its recreational opportunities. Among the many local attractions are winter skiing and summer biking on Mount Washington and palaeontology discoveries.
