This course is designed to provide students with developing the mathematical understandings and competencies identified for entry into post-secondary programs that require the study of theoretical calculus. Course content includes radicals, polynomials, quadratic functions and trigonometry.

This course is designed to provide students with developing the mathematical understandings and competencies identified for entry into post-secondary programs that require the study of theoretical calculus. Course content includes radicals, polynomials, quadratic functions, finance, rational expressions, and trigonometry.

Assessment: There are 8 units in the course; each will have a review assignment to submit and a unit test to write. One project of choice is required. There are also in-person, supervised exams in the course.

Unit 1: Powers, Radicals, and Real Numbers
